Izzy Comes Home

Finally!
Finally!

We finally got to meet our girl and take her home! Tracy let our puppy out and she first came up to me and sat politely at my feet and then after I pet her, she went to Dave and did the same thing. Trixie (her mom) then came out and what a loving dog! She hung out by me and leaned against me and loved pets and hugs. Tracy sent us home with an amazing personalized book with her records and recommendations and so much helpful information on health and behavior, documents for our vet, a toy, food, and her first baby collar. She had us register her microchip there which is just another indication of what an awesome breeder she is. She is the alternate contact for all of her puppies. We definitely made the right choice. We talked about the possibility of boarding her there and Tracy said they will board any of their puppies. We put her in a crate and secured it with a seatbelt. She cried and fussed a bit but settled so quickly. What an amazing puppy! After going back and forth with two different names, we settled on our original name. Meet Izzy. We are so in love!

I started this blog to share the journey of training my next therapy dog, Izzy. I'll be documenting our activities and experiences, aiming to inform and inspire fellow dog lovers on this rewarding journey. Because I'm passionate about all animals, there will also be posts about other animals, including my cats (Christopher, GrayC and Stitch). Thanks for joining us!
