We walked into the clinic to a great welcome to Izzy from the staff. I have kept them updated on our journey to find our next puppy. I have the best vet clinic! They were so caring when we lost Emmi and are now so supportive of Izzy. Izzy did great! Dr. Fricke answered my millions of questions on diet, activities and her hiccups (normal in puppies). I had sent ahead the documents Tracy had for him so we could discuss those. Dr. Fricke also added some activities to "The List" including some trust exercises to help her at vet exams and making sure she was comfortable with going to the bathroom in the rain using the sprinklers (brilliant!). She will go in every 3 weeks for the next few months. I will also try to stop by a few times so she can go in and just get some attention without any treatment. I have a wonderful vet clinic and veterinarian. I have been going there for over 30 years. I think having a vet clinic you trust and know is so important. A crisis is not the time to find a vet. So, if you don't have a regular vet, I really recommend you find one and develop a relationship with them. It is priceless.

Dedicated to Emmi who challenged everything I thought I knew about dogs and who became the most amazing therapy dog ever.

I started this blog to share the journey of training my next therapy dog, Izzy. I'll be documenting our activities and experiences, aiming to inform and inspire fellow dog lovers on this rewarding journey. Because I'm passionate about all animals, there will also be posts about other animals, including my cats (Christopher, GrayC and Stitch). Thanks for joining us!
