Cute, Cute, Cute

Izzy loves watching TV and her favorite shows are animal shows.

Why do we go through all we do raising a puppy? Well because they are so cute and fun! Izzy develops more of her personality every day and she is showing herself to be funny, cute, smart and loving (in between puppy biting). I am amazed at how she will get the zoomies and go crazy and then jump up on the couch and calm herself and watch TV. She is really watching and gets so absorbed. It is so cute!

She learns quickly (which means you really have to watch what you reinforce, or she will quickly learn something you don't want). I have started planting random treats in her crate and now the first thing she does when she goes in her pen is go to the kennel and look for treats. Every time. This was after the first time I planted them.

It was rainy yesterday, so we decided to take her back to Wilco and Jerry's Home Improvement stores. This time she didn't need to be in her stroller or in a cart. It was so fun walking her around the store and watching her. She is curious about everything. She got to see an employee driving around a large scissor lift, go in and out of the automatic doors. climb on an empty shelf and sniff some skeletons. She also got to see several dogs and pick out a treat. I realized how fast she is growing up when she put her feet on the checkout stand to see the checker. You really do need to embrace puppyhood. Izzy is 16 weeks old now!

I started this blog to share the journey of training my next therapy dog, Izzy. I'll be documenting our activities and experiences, aiming to inform and inspire fellow dog lovers on this rewarding journey. Because I'm passionate about all animals, there will also be posts about other animals, including my cats (Christopher, GrayC and Stitch). Thanks for joining us!
