An Airport Visit

Izzy and Dave at the Eugene Airport
Izzy and Dave at the Eugene Airport

My favorite therapy visits with Emmi were to the Eugene Airport. I did an earlier post on some of our experiences there. While I don't have clearance to take Izzy past TSA, I can bring her to the lobby. While going there definitely reminded me of all the times I went with Emmi, the sadness was balanced by the excitement of taking Izzy there. She rocked it. She met more people including more kids and was hardly fazed by all the activity. One thing I hadn't thought about, she was initially nervous about the voice over the intercom. She worked through it though with a few rewards and soon didn't even seem to notice.

Dedicated to Emmi who challenged everything I thought I knew about dogs and who became the most amazing therapy dog ever.

I started this blog to share the journey of training my next therapy dog, Izzy. I'll be documenting our activities and experiences, aiming to inform and inspire fellow dog lovers on this rewarding journey. Because I'm passionate about all animals, there will also be posts about other animals, including my cats (Christopher, GrayC and Stitch). Thanks for joining us!
