Camping Trip at the Coast

We just got back from a 5-day camping trip at Harbor Vista in Florence. We all had an amazing time and Izzy found her happy place.
We weren't in a site that would work with Izzy's x-pen, so we used her overhead pully. She adjusted quickly. She learned what fire was and respected it. The only problem was that she thought her job was to prune and excavate the site. We ended up using her x-pen to block the places she wanted to prune. By day 3, she had settled some and by the last day, would even settle and nap outside.

Every morning we walked about 5 miles. There was a great trail going down to a bay. We could take a long walk along it and then get to the North Jetty and cross over to walk on the beach. Izzy loved it. She loved the trail, the sand, the water, the beach. It was so fun to watch her.
Every evening we took her for a walk through the campground. After having a dog reactive dog, I so appreciate Izzy. Dogs barked at her, dogs growled at her, dogs pulled towards her and it did not phase her. She would just look at them and keep walking.
We went into Old Town Florence twice. This is the part of the town down by the bay and is very popular. There were lots of people, lots of people walking dogs, street musicians, and traffic. Izzy did great. The sidewalk is narrow and she never once tried to interact with anyone we walked by dog or person. She also didn't react to other dogs barking at her. She just showed curiosity walking by the street entertainers. The one thing that scared her was a really loud motorcycle. She did meet several people who asked to pet her and she just loved the attention as always.
We went out to eat and got a great table outside in a corner. Initially Izzy couldn't settle. Everything was just so exciting. She did not pull though. She just stood or sat and watched everything going on. By the time we got our check, she had decided to snooze.

Izzy did great in the trailer and actually slept later than usual each morning (probably exhausted from her busy days). She enjoyed hanging out by the door and looking out. I did take some photos with my good camera and will post those separately.
Saturday she has her first observed visit. We will be going to McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center. I am so excited!
