One of the books I read before we brought Izzy home said to "embrace puppyhood" because they grow so fast. Wow was that good advice! I can't believe our girl is just 2 weeks short of 5 months old! When we brought her home, she weighed 17 pounds! She now weighs 40 pounds!

Izzy is losing her baby teeth. She is now playing with the big dogs. She has started daycare and loves it! She graduated from Puppy Kindergarten with high marks. She learns so quickly. She's got sit, down, settle, touch down. She is getting much better with walking on a leash. No potty accidents since we can remember. She is growing up to be an amazing dog. So smart and intuitive. She is starting to show empathy. I am also so excited to have another dog who cuddles. She's starting to show more control around the cats. Hopefully she will get through the cat intros unscathed. She is a total joy to be with (and baby shark rarely shows herself now). She loves all dogs and all people. She is absolutely perfect for us! I predict this girl will be an awesome therapy dog!

Her collar now around her baby collar. That baby collar is so cute. It says "Hooligan".

I started this blog to share the journey of training my next therapy dog, Izzy. I'll be documenting our activities and experiences, aiming to inform and inspire fellow dog lovers on this rewarding journey. Because I'm passionate about all animals, there will also be posts about other animals, including my cats (Christopher, GrayC and Stitch). Thanks for joining us!
